WE’VE BEEN OVERWHELMED WITH THANK YOU LETTERS!
I heard many comments throughout the day that made me smile.
Here are few favorites:
“Can you believe I made it all the way down to the end and back?” – Spoken by a rather heavy, sweating senior.
“I tried climbing, gymnastics, kayaking, rode my bike all the way to the end and back, danced, and what else am I suppose to do right now?” – spoken by a 6 year old boy filling out his activity passport.
“I love that I can bring my kids down and they can ride anywhere safely” – spoken by a father with a young child.
“This event has the best feeling of community I’ve experienced at any event in Boulder” – attendee.
“Can I hug you?” – A fireman!

I just want to congratulate you, and all your team, on such a successful “Boulder Green Streets” on Sunday – Wow, a truly great event.I believe pedestrian/cycle/family events are incredibly important in creating positive and energetic public spaces – not to mention taking back some of the streets.This was a great step for the Boulder community.

Wow Hilary, you absolutely rocked out the event yesterday. My kids godmother Ellen Klaver says she knows you and she said, “Oh Hilary knows what she is doing, she has done a lot of that kind of stuff before”, and it was true!!!! Can’t wait for next year We know it is going to be even bigger and better and more successful. Thanks so much for all your hard work, it was such an amazing feeling of Community yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let us know if you ever need anything…

Dear Hillary,
Thank you again for making it possible for Yes on 2B, the City of Boulder Franchise Fee replacement tax ballot measure volunteer campaign group to have a presence at yesterday’s BGS event! It was a terrific event with a wide variety of opportunities for citizens to do and see all kinds of healthy and good things. Thanks to you and your team for all of your hard work putting the event together. I would love to have EVERY Sunday be a Boulder Green Street, if that wouldn’t affect businesses too negatively (and I have no idea about that). Anyway, thanks again and keep us posted of when you do another. We might have our “next step” on the ballot next year.
