BOULDER GREEN STREETS 2011 ANNOUNCEMENTS
Boulder! We have some great excitement coming this 2011 BGS season. I can’t wait to tell you all about it! In the next few weeks we’ll be announcing our spring and summer happy hour schedule, monthly neighborhood closure events, and details on our grand Ciclovia event in September.
A sneak peak at some of the fun coming…
Check out this years addition of a “Cycle Chic Fashion Show- featuring Boulder Biking Beauties and Gentlemen on wheels”.
We also plan to host our first multi-modal street parade. A bike ballet performance, a cycling team pulling a Samba marching band float with dancers filling in behind— maybe a bluegrass band pulled by professional runners. Make it what you will Boulder!
Registration for booth space is open for our Sunday, September 18th Ciclovia Event which will follow a similar route to last year along East Pearl. Through April, take advantage of last years booth rates and save your spot, prices will go up in May. This event is about sharing something with your community. Consider what class, service or thing you can offer if you plan to attend the event. Last year we had over 50 free activities including dance workshops, free frizbees to pass out, health clinics, workshops and more. We look forward to another great BGS year and thank all of you who plan to be a part this uniquely Boulder experience.
