Celebrate together, learn new ways to stay active, healthy, live more sustainably, and thrive — during all seasons. Enjoy performances, discussions, talks workshops, great live music and more!

Why?
Proceeds from the event help Boulder Green Streets run programs that promote car-free streets, active living, sustainability and a strong community. These programs include the Boulder Green Streets annual “Ciclovia!”

Start the New Year off right!

What were your New Year resolutions?

If you still haven’t figured them out yet, then think about all the wonderful ways to stay healthy and happy. Our favorite: “Going car-free”. This is a great way to get some daily exercise, shed the holiday weight gain, save gas money, and help make your community are less polluted, more enjoyable place to live. Bike, walk, bus, find ways to get out and move even in the winter.

If you haven’t yet watched the movie “Happy” (the documentary) you may want to watch it one cold winter night with your friends or family. The movie reminds us that we’ve already studied ‘depression’ but why not study what makes one happy? We are reminded that according to science, true Happiness includes exercise, being in community, and giving  to others in a way that feels meaningful. True happiness is readily available to all of us.

To start the year off right and to make it a health, happy and prosperous year, make a decision to go car-free.

Want an easy  way to be in community?

Join us the first Wednesday of each month at Shine starting this February for community happy hour (at 5pm) and a night that includes speakers, performers, samples, drink, healthy food, and great live music. All the proceeds we raise from the evening,  we use for our live music fund  for Boulder Green Streets 2013 Ciclovia.

Stay tuned for updates on what surprises are coming this February!!!! Get a jump on Valentines, start the New Year right… be in community.

We want to thank everyone who made this years 2012 Ciclovia event possible:  sponsors, vendors, community partners and volunteers! Join us at Shine for a special night of gratitude. We’ll also be sharing highlights from this years event and asking the question “where shall we go from here?” As a community we’d like to invite you to share your ideas, wisdom and suggestions for the 2013 Ciclovia. Come discuss the election outcome and help us look ahead… together.

Come celebrate with Boulder Green Streets next week, post election! Starting at 5pm we will be celebrating the successes of our 2012 Boulder Ciclovia and looking to start planning the year ahead.

This will be the fun, feel good, community event of the week. Please help us by spreading the word and reposting this announcement to your own social groups, email lists, and tweet!

Ride on down & Don’t Miss Out!!!
We’ll have door prizes such as Eldora lift tickets, Bcycle passes, Yoga punchcards, and Eldorado Springs pool passes so be sure to register at the door.

You’ll also be the first to hear our 2012 stats publicly, our sponsor generosity, and voice your suggestions for next year.

We will also have special guest organizations such as the HUB, 56%, and the Fringe. An important part of what we do is to collaborate, partner, and promote local, community organizations. Check out these great BGS friends and find out ways you can get involved.

Finally, those who come to the Boulder Green Streets event early can also get discounted tickets ($6) to great live music that night. Come see national reggae legends I-taweh and crew starting at 8pm. They convey the original roots and culture of reggae while addressing crime and violence with lyrical wisdom.
